The Unrecognized

'The Unrecognized' is a short documentary which highlights the plight of Palestinian Arab Bedouin citizens of Israel living in the Naqab (Negev) desert, many of whom were forced off their lands following the establishment of the state in 1948.

Approximately 70,000 now live in the poverty of 'unrecognized villages', where they are denied essential public services and face fundamental human rights violations due to institutionalized discrimination.

The contents of this film are the sole responsibility of Adalah (the Legal Centre for Arab Minority Rights in Israel) and can under no circumstances be regarded as reflecting the position of the European Union.

DVD copies are available for screening purposes, as are fully subtitled versions for the deaf.

"לא מוכרים" הוא סרט תיעודי קצר, המפנה זרקור אל מצוקתם של הפלסטינים הבדווים תושבי הנגב, אזרחי ישראל, שרבים מהם נושלו מאדמותיהם בעקבות הקמת מדינת ישראל ב - 1948.

כ- 70 אלף מהם מתגוררים כיום בכפרים "לא מוכרים", שבהם עקב אפליה ממוסדת נשללים מהם שירותים ציבוריים חיוניים וזכויות היסוד שלהם מופרות.

תוכנו של הסרט הוא באחריות עדאלה בלבד ובשום נסיבות איננו מייצג את עמדת האיחוד האירופי.

"غير المعترف بهم" هو فيلم وثائقي قصير يبرز مأزق المواطنين العرب البدو الفلسطينيين في إسرائيل، الذين يعيشون في صحراء النقب، والذين تمّ اقتلاع الكثيرين منهم من أراضيهم في أعقاب إقامة الدولة في العام 1948.

إنّ نحو 70.000 من هؤلاء المواطنين يعيشون الآنَ في ظلّ فقر "القرى غير المعترف بها"، حيث يُحرمون من الخدمات العامة الحيويّة ويواجهون انتهاكات حقوق الإنسان الأساسيّة بسبب التّمييز المؤسّس.

إنّ مضامين الفيلم هي من مسؤوليّة عدالة وحدها، وهي لا تعبّر، بحالٍ من الأحوال، عن موقف الاتّحاد الأوروبي.
